Henry Weinhard's Root Beer

1st review: Henry Weinhard was a German brewer who immigrated to the U.S in 1851. Before he created his own root beer, he worked in several beer businesses before he made his own business. After a few different partnerships, he bought out his last partner for his share of the brewery in northwest Portland. He continued to expand and created the Liberty Brewery. By 1890 his business became the biggest brewery in the U.S. The ingredients are carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, vanilla extract, natural flavors, phosphoric acid, sodium benzoate, honey essence, and acacia sassafras extract. The reason there is Henry Weinhard's root beer is because during the Prohibition era in the 1920's, he wanted to keep his business, and so he made a draft root beer instead of beer.
