Propaganda Showcase

CJ-Moki here. Here's my commentary on the Trump administration's newest propaganda film (archive copy below YouTube embed):

For starters, the short claims that "America has rarely seen such success". It then goes on to say that Neil McGill Gorsuch is "respected" as a Supreme Court Justice, when there are probably some folks out there who disagree. The video takes pride in the fact that several important regulations were removed, so people like Rex Tillerson can screw the environment over all they want.

But most notably, the propaganda says that "you wouldn't know it from watching the news", This soundbite is accompanied by a large graphic reading "FAKE NEWS" plastered over videos of various news anchors.

CNN, a popular news network, was going to air the ad, but refused after noticing the "FAKE NEWS" graphic. This is how Trump reacted (archive here) to CNN deciding not to show his propaganda film:
The article Trump linked in that Facebook post has gems like this:
CNN takes issue with the ad’s message calling out the mainstream media for peddling fake news and not reporting on the fact that President Trump is making America great again.
In short:
Trump administration creates a propaganda video idealizing the President's first hundred days, CNN refuses to air said propaganda, President throws a temper tantrum using Facebook.

CJ-Moki, signing off. It's rare to see Trump throw a tantrum using Facebook and not Twitter.
